Mission
Responsible for maintaining Continued Airworthiness of the fleet by coordinating and monitoring the maintenance activities and all in service aircraft technical problems with the purpose to achieve the department objectives through efficient working and avoid delays & cancellations with safety as the highest priority.
Tasks
Control of the maintenance activities :
Manages maintenance activities and technical problem solving, maximizing availability for aircraft operations.
- Take responsibility for the daily maintenance operations by introducing and maintaining the necessary policies and procedures to ensure an efficient and effective total Maintenance activity.
- Management and coordination of technical reported problems in home base and outstations.
- Manage and control unexpected situations, based on experience and knowledge to find possible solutions based on accurate information, in order to meet punctuality and guarantee continuity of operations.
- Manage the AOG recovery process of airplanes in home base and outstations (organization of technical intervention).
- Provide the best possible service and support to our crews and outstation MRO’s.
- Act as the point of contact for the Part 145 maintenance organizations and all other operational departments regarding technical issues. Support to flight operations to minimize the schedule disruptions.
- Monitor Control and rectification of Deferred Defects (including MEL/CDL) in due time, having direct impact on the operational performance of our fleet.
- Manage & coordinate MEL/ CDL extensions whenever there is a risk that MEL rectification could not be performed within respective timeframe.
- Fleet Technical Status update and communication of the Operational Limitations to other departments.
- Organize shift handovers listing the open MEL/CDL’s, limitation on aircraft, repetitive defect checks, aircraft out/back to service, technical delays, reportable occurrences and pending repairs status.
- Technical irregularity follow up, reporting and analyzation for root cause and correct categorization.
- Give technical support to the Part 145 maintenance organization.
Screen and monitoring aircraft technical status :
Ensures control of the technical status of the fleet, steering the Part 145 and an optimized planning for the maintenance activities.
- Manage the planning with correct priority of the MEL, CDL & CABIN DIL items avoiding potential technical interruptions and minimize any decreased operational limitation and pax comfort.
- Transfer of any technical issue to the troubleshooting department in an efficient manner, which guarantees that a qualitative follow up can be ensured.
- Live monitoring of a/c condition using specific tools (i.e. Aviatar) and/or aircraft condition data from post-flight reports and AMOS.
Review aircraft Release to Service for Continued Airworthiness :
Controls the executed P145 activities, ensuring compliance to EASA CAMO Regulations
- Review and agree with the released work done by Part 145 in maintenance
- Screen all deferred defects & the combination thereof, ensuring safe operation is not affected
- Ensure compliance with all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance requirements, including daily and weekly checks.
- Report any issue that may have an impact on the safety of the aircraft/fleet or is not compliant to CAMO
Your profile
- High school diploma or equivalent with relevant experience in aircraft maintenance
- Minimum experience required: 5 years B1 or B2 (or equivalent)
- Ability to approach a situation or problem in a structured, methodical and logical way
- Good analytical skills
- Planning and organizing skills
- Experience in aircraft maintenance or engineering
- Proven technical aircraft system knowledge
- Possess an excellent ability to understand and interpret technical data
- Solid technical writing skills
- Very good in English and Dutch or French verbal and written skills
- Skill in communicating clear, correct and complete both written and verbal to all related parties
- Knowledge in the essential functions of MS Office products (word, excel)
- Knowledge of Part 145 and Part M responsibilities
- Experience on A32F and/ or A330 aircraft
- Good knowledge of AMOS is a plus.
