Purpose of position
Support the M&E Training Team to create efficient and effective training by using the most appropriate training methods to respond to the different needs, ensuring that all technical staff is trained in line with authority regulations.
Conduct theoretical courses and practical instructions for certifying and non-certifying staff. Perform competency assessments of candidate employees/contractors and track career progression of employees from trainee mechanics until obtaining their B1 license.
Main tasks & responsibilities
Training Responsibilities:
- Conduct internal training sessions on key regulatory and operational topics, including MOE, CAME, Human Factors, etc.
- Develop, update and tailor training materials to suit various learning styles and needs, ensuring effective knowledge transfer for both theoretical and practical applications.
- Oversee the implementation and completion of training programs (from trainee to B1), ensuring that all employees meet the required certification standards.
- Compile questions for examination banks, ensuring assessments accurately reflect the required knowledge levels and regulatory standards.
- Update and maintain the training database, ensuring accessibility and accuracy of training records.
- Maintain and update the certification database, ensuring all training records and qualifications remain current and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Develop and manage Computer-Based Training (CBT) modules, ensuring all digital training content is up-to-date and aligned with regulatory and company standards.
- Ensure training sessions and examinations are conducted in a manner that complies with all relevant requirements.
Career Development & Employee Growth:
- Oversee internship programs, introducing and mentoring trainees throughout their development program at Brussels Airlines until they obtain their B1 license.
- Provide structured training and onboarding programs for newly hired technicians, monitoring their progress through different stages of their career.
- Conduct competency assessments for students, employees, contractors and prospective candidates, ensuring they meet the required skill levels (practical and theoretical) before progressing to new roles or obtaining certifications.
Recruitment & Outreach Initiatives:
- Represent the company at aviation and technical schools, engaging with students to promote aircraft maintenance careers and providing insight into the industry.
- Actively participate in career fairs and industry events, presenting company career development opportunities and supporting recruitment efforts.
- Collaborate with HR and operational teams to attract, assess, and onboard new technical personnel, ensuring the selection of highly qualified candidates.
Your profile
- Technical Higher Secondary Education.
- 7 years of experience as performer, of which at least 2-3 years as B1 technician (Holder of a part-66 license) or equivalent by experience.
- At least 2-3 years as certifying staff and holder of AML part 66 (Type rated Airbus)
- Good knowledge of EASA procedures.
- Languages: fluent English, Dutch and/or French is a plus.
- MS-Office.
