Mission
Brussels Airlines is looking for a strategic and hands-on leader to drive digital innovation and business transformation within our Maintenance & Engineering (M&E) department. Reporting to the Head of M&E, you will:
- Lead the digital and business transformation strategy, optimizing processes for technical, operational, and financial performance.
- Oversee large-scale projects, define M&E-wide KPIs, and act as the central function for all processes.
- Support career development, ensuring staff have the skills and adaptability to meet industry challenges.
- Foster a collaborative, forward-thinking culture, aligning teams with company goals and resources.
- Engage stakeholders to ensure transparency and drive safe, efficient, and innovative solutions.
- Lead a team of 10-15 FTEs.

Tasks
- Strategic Leadership: Set priorities, allocate resources, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Ensure alignment with company objectives, report on progress, and oversee compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Project & Performance Management: Lead high-impact projects to enhance technical, operational, and financial performance. Define and track KPIs, optimize processes, and ensure sustainable implementation of initiatives.
- Application Management: Oversee IT system strategy and digital transformation, integrating tools such as AMOS, Crossmos eTLB, Flydocs, Aviatar, and PowerBI to enhance efficiency and user experience.
- Technical Training & Development: Ensure ongoing skills development, regulatory compliance, and career growth for M&E employees through tailored training and onboarding programs.
- Lead & Inspire: Foster a motivating work environment, mentor and coach team members, empower employees with autonomy, and guide teams through change with clarity and empathy.
Your profile
- Master’s degree in Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years of experience managing complex projects, ideally in aviation.
- Strong project management skills; certification (e.g., PMP) is a plus.
- Analytical and strategic mindset with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Excellent stakeholder management and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, 5S) and problem-solving.
- Familiarity with digital tools and data analytics in maintenance & engineering.
- Proven ability to lead diverse teams and manage change effectively.
- Strong presentation and communication skills, able to simplify complex topics.
- Proficiency in MS Office and project management tools.
- Fluent in English; Dutch and/or French are a plus.
