Purpose of the position

The Uniform Coordinator is responsible for product management throughout the development process, from definition of the need until final quality inspection post production. The range of products managed by the Uniform department include all crew-related uniform components, technical workwear and ad-hoc supplies necessary for the execution of onboard service, ground services and technical maintenance of the aircraft.

Your tasks

  • Develop a strategy per product category in line with a realistic production and implementation calendar. Operate within the sourcing strategy for the assigned category/division, addressing specific sourcing requirements.
  • Act as a market expert on fabric, product and technology selection, steer innovation.
  • Support collaborative development meetings between Branding, Line management, field representatives, H&S, Procurement … negotiate with suppliers on product specifications, costs and production constraints.
  • Manage execution of E2E calendar deliverables for each product in range, within the defined methodology, ensuring prototyping, sample availability, testing and other milestone adherence.
  • Pre-screen line plans and programs for workload allocation and initial risk assessment.
  • Monitor performance and KPIs, including design-to-cost, critical path, fabric activities, collaboration, and development ratio.
  • Oversee production and validate conformity and quality of all ongoing production patterns, samples, first production lines and quality control post port of arrival. Ensure detailed documentation on each specific clothing item (technical drawings, sealed samples, size charts, spec sheets and certification, labels, packaging).
  • Monitor post launch feedback through survey / individual or collective assessment.
  • This position is part of a maternity replacement.

Your profile

  • Passionate about Product Development through Design to Cost elements, with a degree in a Fashion or Textiles related field.  Airline industry knowledge is an asset but not mandatory.
  • Effective communication, including writing, speaking and interpersonal communication.
  • Extensive knowledge of fabric qualities, textile processing, finishing, and dyeing/printing techniques.
  • Strong understanding of design-to-cost elements, product development, trims, accessories, and range building.
  • Proficient in project management, with good communication, presentation, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, effective time management, and the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Adaptable, able to manage change, work independently, and collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel and Word, in particular) as well as standard logistics software.
  • 2 years of customer experience preferred but not required.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
