Your role:
As Head of Compliance, you oversee a team of compliance experts and will be responsible for defining the Compliance Action Plan with respect to Legal and Regulatory Watch, Policy framework, Compliance Risk Assessments etc.
Additionally, you will ensure the plan is performed appropriately across all key domains, ranging from Ethics and Good Governance, to Insurance distribution & Licenses and AML and Financial Sanctions, as well as IT Compliance and Data Protection, Anti-Fraud, and Tax Compliance.
The Head of Compliance is the registered Compliance Officer of ERGO Insurance SA/NV, and heads the Compliance independent control function.
- Compliance Framework & Implementation: Oversee the implementation and adherence to the compliance framework, fostering a positive compliance culture through risk awareness and integrity.
- Regulatory Expertise & Monitoring: Maintain up-to-date expertise on relevant legal and regulatory requirements and monitor their impact on ERGO Insurance SA/NV.
- Advisory & Reporting: Provide high-quality, cost-effective advice to the business and management, acting as a trusted advisor and regularly reporting on compliance activities.
- Stakeholder Management & Collaboration: Collaborate with internal control functions, key stakeholders, regulators, and Group Compliance to ensure a coordinated risk management approach.
- Team Leadership & Development: Lead the Compliance department, defining its activities and developing the team's skills and knowledge.
Your profile:
- You have a Master degree in Law (or equivalent by experience);
- You have at least 5 years of experience with compliance at financial institutions, in particular life insurance companies. You possess at least 3 years of experience in a managerial role;
- You meet the FSMA and NBB requirements for Compliance Officers in the insurance sector;
- You have an analytical mindset with strategic thinking capabilities;
- You are a top-tier communicator with excellent collaboration and negotiation skills;
- You lead in example with your sense of integrity and confidentiality;
- You work in a structured way and you are able to appropriately manage your priorities and resources;
- You have excellent knowledge both written as spoken of Dutch, French, as English.
