We are looking for a Functional Analyst to join our DevOps team within Applications DevOps & DesignOps at Mazda MLE. In this role, you will bridge business needs and IT delivery—translating requirements into clear documentation, supporting solution design, and helping ensure high-quality outcomes.

• Actively participate as a key contributor within the Analyst CoE, where collaboration in workforces and small groups with a strong team-oriented mindset is essential.
• Drive the Analyst community with ownership and enthusiasm, finding common ground with fellow analysts and contributing to standards, policies, ideas and initiatives that are applicable across domains, supporting the industrialization of IT.
• Gather and analyse functional and non-functional requirements together with business stakeholders.
• Translate business needs into clear technical documentation (e.g., objectives, scope, assumptions, functional/non-functional specifications) for development teams and IT stakeholders.
• Propose IT solutions for business ideas and contribute to the product backlog with the business counterpart and Domain Lead.
• Define testing requirements with business, Domain Lead, QA and testing teams; support quality assurance by validating functional logic.
• Support project delivery by contributing to and reviewing status reporting; provide regular updates to the Domain Lead and Analyst CoE Team Lead.
• Participate in product quality reviews and suggest improvements to ensure high-quality applications and services.
• Perform regular “go and see” follow-ups to understand real business operations and identify issues and opportunities. With a proactive mindset, you quickly become familiar with the domain, enabling you to think alongside the business and contribute in a solution-oriented way.
• Support investigations and analysis by leveraging knowledge of relevant data sources and applications. As the analyst, you act as the spokesperson and subject matter expert for your project, serving the team and acting as a liaison between onshore and offshore team members.
• Be able to context-switch effectively across topics, stakeholders and priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Stay informed about IT evolutions and work with the Domain Lead on proposals to keep products current and future-proof.

What you bring

• Master’s degree with 1–3 years of relevant experience, or Bachelor’s degree with 3–7 years of relevant experience.
• Solid knowledge in a technical, scientific or specialised field.
• Ability to work independently and with precision on complex tasks and manage priorities effectively.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills—able to evaluate options and recommend solutions.
• Clear communication skills to align business and IT stakeholders and to influence through reasoning.
• Experience writing structured documentation and supporting testing/quality activities is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of Agile delivery, Software Development LifeCycle and Domain Driven Design.
• An open mindset to work in an MSP-compatible way, with appreciation for diversity and cultural differences.
• Demonstrate a proactive and motivated attitude, helping pave the way forward for your colleagues and the team while remaining approachable and respectful of everyone’s needs.
• Nice to have = Analyst ECBA certification
